An extended weekend

During the past weekend – a longer one because of Ascension Day – I spent a few days on Mallorca.

What one would expect wheather wise – sunshine and warm weather…

… rather turned out to be wet and grey.

But still, the island kept its charm…

In Sóller one of the most important festive days of the year was talking place. Moros y Cristianos is the day where the locals commemorate the very bloody fight and their victory against the Moorish intruders 500 years ago.

Walking up the canyon of Torrent de Pareis near Sa Calobra.

Fornalutx is acclaimed to be Spain’s most beautiful village…

… rightfully in my opinion.

Sunsets were rare on those days.
However, the rough weather still attracted in its own way.
